I am so frustrated. Windows 8 is not nice! That is putting it mildly. I have gotten to the "type 15 ideas" part and my screen goes crazy and I lose it all! My girls saw this and the said, "What just happened?" They were helping me write my subjects...lol..

I did this twice within the hour. I am going to try and get this in tomorrow morning. I hope I won't be too late. I have some great ideas.

I use a Mac - so Safari is my browser, but I suggest typing put your app in a Word doc (or something similar) & then copy/paste it into the app template :-)

Hi everyone I am new and completely confused. I sent in a piece to be an editor at the beginning of november but I havent heard back yet. I sent an email and heard nothing. Supposedly I can check on the status but I have no idea how to do that and how? help!

As the BOL Training Manager, all applications are carefully reviewed on the weekends only. All applicants will be notified by email within 30 days or so.

I did receive an email from you just today & have already responded. Please do remember that we are a volunteer organization :-)

Sadhana's comment to Allyson to get her application in quickly is encouraging! I submitted a Home Cooking Editor application several weeks ago, and I have been like a child waiting for Christmas to see if I am accepted! Hopefully my application is being considered, and I will hear something soon. I would love to be a part of BellaOnline, and Home cooking is a subject about which I am knowledgable, passionate and truly enjoy. Thank you! Good luck to you too. It took over 30 days for my original response. These ladies are very busy so hang in there.

Just a quick insider FYI - the HC topic currently has 7 applications! We will start reviewing some of them over the wknd, but please do note that the Thanksgiving holidays also start next week & this may slightly delay the application review/acceptance process.

Thanks Allyson and Sadhana, for your encouragement and updates. This site is huge, so it is amazing things happen as quickly as they do! I am still discovering the wonderful topics to explore and resources it provides. I love how the information provided by BellaOnline motivates me to either delve deeper into that topic, or spikes my interest to move on to something new. For example, I had not yet discovered the Indian Food website (how did I miss this?!), until I noticed it on your post in this forum Sadahana. There are not an Indian Food restaurants in the small city where I live, so I am thrilled with these new recipes and tips! :) Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thank you! I will do my best to keep up what you started. It's a very popular site. I would always be happy to have you as a guest author...but wait! There are (I can't count how many - smile) so many recipes on there that I'm not sure I can overwrite in my lifetime. LOL! Maybe I can leave the site in my Will to my kids. I have to ask Lisa!

I hope your catering biz is blooming. When I worked as a high-end caterer in California, it was the most challenging, tiring yet the most fulfilling job I have ever had. It was blood, sweat and tears...yes there were tears!..but it was GREAT!

I hope you got to give your general blessings over Thanksgiving. I cooked mine on Friday cos I had to do that thing called "going into work and they don't care if you celebrate Thanksgiving Day or not!" thing! LOL..

It was the best turkey I have cooked in years. He was a big brute!! Then Saturday I made.. (you know what I'm going to do now, right?)...YES! post a link..
