I really like the aggressive stance you take with your own bedtime in your article. That lackadaisical "I'll sleep when I get there" happens in my own life as well, and normally I'm very strict about my own deadlines. Funny, that.
Somewhere I read about morning rituals. Something to do precisely when you wake up to orient yourself in the new day (more specifically to jump-start mornings!). Perhaps the same could be applied to the evening?
That same place talked about "clearing to neutral," which plays along the idea that the most difficult part of a task is just to begin it. When I leave the dishes to soak overnight, getting to them in the morning is outright dreary. Thinking of getting to them in the morning is a downer as well. I wonder if this could also apply to bedtime? Maybe have everything prepped and ready to get to bed so it's just a matter of getting there.
