**Wishing you & your family a very Happy Diwali & Prosperous New Year filled with peace and happiness!**

Indian funnel cakes! This is the easiest way to describe this delicious Indian dessert - deep fried pretzel shaped pieces of crispy dough, dipped in a warm sugar syrup. Sounds heavenly? Just wait until you taste them! Jalebis are a must have at any Indian celebration, holiday or festival.

They look delicious, Sadhana.

I saw Diwali on my calendar. Could you explain a little more what the holiday is?

Hello Sandra,

Thanks for asking! In India, Diwali is the biggest Hindu celebration of the year (similar to Christmas here in the US). Diwali (or Deepavali) is the Festival of Lights and celebrates the triumph of good over evil. It is a celebration that dates back several thousand years ago! Here are some helpful links:

Hope these help!

Thanks,

Hope your celebration was enjoyable and that you let in the Light.
