Does Emergency Preparedness seem overwhelming to you? Here is the 3rd quarter of a plan that breaks it down for you in little sections.

Great idea for an article, Brenda!

I have to break things down into little, tiny, steps. Even cleaning a kitchen floor. I DO get overwhelmed easily.

But I find, common sense, pick one area at a time, like dried foods, first aid kits, solar regenerator lamps, flash lights, matches, even getting propane filled, extra blankets - Just:

Could you get by, without panic and have a variety of items on hand to mix up different meals and even keep warm, anticeptics, water, etc.

Also, a radio of some type, preferably solar or some type of cb or crank radio.

I made 72 hour backpacks for my kids, then we all got together and unpacked them and talked about the contents. I then asked them if there was anything I had missed? One son reminded me that there were no utensils to eat with...and a daughter said she really needed a scrunchy for her hair. It was a fun activity.

Great ideas! And Launa, that is a great way to practice and make sure you didn't forget anything. It's amazing how kids can point out the things our adult minds miss. LOL!
