Could it be because no one in their right mind would run for office in the current climate?
I think you've hit it dead on the nose right here. No one who would make a good leader would sign up for this kind of sress. It takes someone who is power hungry. And unfortunately what we
need is someone who puts the people first instead of his or herself.
I always thought that Colin Powell would make an excellent President. He has the military background and truly seems to care about this country. Yet he is way too smart to run.
This is sadly what we have come to.
