Seeing auras is frequently mentioned in Pagan and New Age Circles these days. While there is good evidence that this is possible, there are also a range of physical plane reasons why this can happen. In the first of a series of articles on seeing and using the Aura we explore the most common ones.

What a great idea...love it!

I'm a skeptic in my own field, meaning, I go through all of the physical possibilities before I jump on it's something para-normal or out of the ordinary. Especially when it comes to houses...oo...ADD moment, Halloween's coming, one of my favorites.

But anyway, the Aura thing? I tend to feel a person's vibe or whatever you call it bubble, being, etc. before I might see color. But when I have seen color around a person, it's never like the artistic paintings I see in the movies or advertising.

Sometimes it's even just a shift in lighting or view, like the negative of something. Like stare at a lamp, then look at a white wall, that type of thing.

Other times, I'll see purple, yellow or a light whitish color, sometimes light blue. But the point is it's faded...not like fires streaming from behind a person.

What's it like for other people?

That sounds like you're more a feelings based than visual person as my NLP colleagues would say. Actually this is the most common form of extra sensitive perception smile

In the next article we will explore some of the probable types of aura perception. Including how some birds can see magnetic fields and how some people are much more sensitive to colour and other electromagnetic radiations.

I can't say that I ever saw an aura around someone or something, but I am very sensitive to vibes or energy. I felt and sensed an aura more than saw one around one person in particular. I was very drawn to him and he turned out to be a very special person in my life.

Excellent! smile

I've never seen auras around people or other sentient beings either. The closest I've come is people who I perceive as 'bright' and 'shiny' who tend to be kind and compassionate. Sometimes they follow a religion or spiritual path, but equally not, they're just nice people.
