Until you work with children who have been abused and/or neglected, I do not think that people understand the profound effect that it has on their lives.

I agree with you 1000%. The impact of child abuse affects the child from the moment the abuse begins until essentially they die. Every aspect of life is different than it would have been if the abuse was never a part of that child's life.

The effect and impact is lifelong.
