So it has been announced; Ben Affleck will be playing Batman in the soon to come Batman/Superman movie.

What do you guys think of this casting?

I was hoping that none of my favorite actors would take that part. For me Christian Bale as Batman was perfection.

I like Ben Affleck and he is a good actor. He may do a good job or even better but he never will come close to what Christian Bale did with that character.

I refuse to see any Batman movies because Bailey was so perfect in the three movies he did. It has nothing to do with the actors who is/will replace him it's just that for me I cannot see anyone else playing Batman. If Michael Fassbender does play Batman I will break that promise I made to myself after knowing 100% that Bailey would never play Batman again because that is Fassy and I will see that man in anything he does but I know that he won't come close to Bailey as Batman.

The people going crazy about that casting are stupid. If they want to see another Batman movie then they should just wait and see if Ben will do a good job. And I have to laugh at the people who were saying that Bailey was awful as Batman and now (some even started after they realised he really just did these 3 movies) they cry and want him back.

I actually believe that Ben or/and someone else could do a good or even better job playing Batman but again for me Batman is Christian Bale so these movies will never be for me (unless like i said Fassy plays him...i cannot ignore that man!!!).

I think it is going to totally depend on how the writers write for the new Batman.

I loved Michael Keaton in the original series of Batman, I thought he did an excellent job in that role. His personality fit with the lighter hearted superhero (not so much Clooney and Kilmer, though).

Then the Dark Knight series came out and Christian Bale was perfect for the darker and brooding Batman. Keaton couldn't have pulled that off, and Bale wouldn't have been good as the earlier Batman.

I don't know how they are planning to have this one act - somewhere in between? I can't see Affleck doing either one of the other roles - he has his own acting style.

LOL yeah I think I mentioned Fassy a few places here, you are lucky you don't have my email, I talk about him more than a few times via emails LOL.

I loved Michael Keaton too as Batman and Bruce Wayne. I thought his Bruce Wayne was good and his Batman great.

I still have not see the ones with Val Kilmer and George Clooney.

One thing is for sure, Bailey as Batman will always excite me !
