That truly is an insightful, honest and beautiful article Debbie !! !!! If it wasn't for the kitty cats and a dog and a bird, I really don't think my emotional health would be as stable as it is ! Beautiful, Just Beautiful. Pretty !! !!! -- Burt B.

I loved the article, Debbie. The line about animals wanting to please us made me laugh out loud. Well, some of them do, in fact most of them do. However, Cheapshot Davidson, lovebird queen of the Biter Brigade is not one of them. She lives to bite chunks out of people! Our lovebirds are like that, but we love them anyway. Now, our cockatiel, he wants to please!

Speaking for the three of us BOL-wise, we loved your phrase about horses and "transcending experience as we work together with their free and willing spirit."
As for our two dogs and my nine birds, it's more a matter of working together with them individually as their unique, sentient petsonalities and spirits are free and strong-willed; consequently, each interaction with them is transcending.

Dear Debbie , You wrote,:Pets provide us with companionship on a level we don’t have with other human beings. They can help us heal from emotional and physical wounds by bringing us comfort in both a tangible and spiritual way. Spending time with our animals will increase our longevity and will improve our health by lowering our blood pressure and easing stress. They teach us every day about selflessness, patience, and kindness. Our pets are true gifts from the Divine, treasured friends who want nothing more than to please us. They are deliverers of positive energy and love that touches our spirit like nothing else can.
So if I understand right ,these animals are more than pets. They are part of the Great Universe,of all beings that are Sentient.Sentient, meaning that they too have feelings, and I know most pet owners respect their companions. But a lot of pets are not as lucky.
Loong brother of all sentient beings.

Thank you, Loong. I did mention that animals are sentient beings in my article. I have pets of my own and I know this to be true.

edwardd1......thank you for reading my article. Animals are indeed individuals. Many will interact with us willingly, while others are to be appreciated and respected for their uniqueness, even if they are just being themselves like they should be.
