You are right, Burt, pets are a big responsibility and they can be a pain. My two dogs are wonderful but there are days I really get tired of all the work. But they are here with me for a reason so I take good care of them. Their lives are shorter than mine and I will rest when they have finished their physical life. If it was not for them I may have stayed in bed all day curled up in a ball in the dark when I suffered my big loss last year. The dogs have kept me going.

Elleise.....that may all very well be true. I am sure Burt can respond to this too. He is very comforted by his kitties, and many people believe that animals have healing powers.

The care which you show towards your pet they return it by their affection and loyalty towards you. After a tiring day also, when you reach home the love affection which they will show will remove anyone's tiredness.

I must say it is a fine article. I am excited about the way of explaining the whole part. The way which you explained that how animals feel us is very nice. It needed a lot of research and your article is justifying it. Thank you

John.....thank you for reading my article and for your positive and kind comments. What you say about pets is absolutely correct.

I actually have a lot of experience with pets and animals so it was easy and enjoyable to write this article. Thanks again for your post.

Dear Debbie,

Read your article,I really loved it.The other day on tv they showed that cats have up to 21 different "words".They are very intelligent ,they are called in some circles Sentient Beings.
Because they are sensitive to pain ,theirs and others.

Where I live we are not allowed any pets at all. It's O.K.,because
I would get attached to it ,and I do not want any form of attachment in my life.

Great Article

Dear Debbie,

In today's biggest french newspsper in north america, some sort of lab, gave proof that dogs HAVE EMOTIONS.
I have seen dogs let themselves die because their master had died.
In Buddhism they are called Sentient Beings.

I think all dog owners would agree that their dogs are sentient beings with emotions. When a pet is part of the family there is a connection, empathy, and bond formed with that animal. Animals can be very expressive.

We have had cats who became quite affected when their dog companions died.
