Yes, and they do have an exceptional amount of charm, even if they are little biters.

I don’t have any pets. But after reading your article, I will definitely get a cat and a dog. Lovely article. You have wonderfully explained the feelings of pets.

Thank you for reading my article, Jennie.

If you are new to having pets I would suggest that you get just one at a time. That way you can bond with the one that you have and be certain that it is getting proper care. Pets are a big responsibility that can take up a lot of time and energy, but they are worth it.

Would any of you like to share stories about your pets and how they've helped you?

Great article Debbie!

I know that when I have been sick or in pain, my one cat, Trouble (whom I rescued from the Humane Society) will often snuggle up against me when I am in bed. Her purring is a great soothing to me, it helps lull me to sleep and peace.

Goodness, my kitty cats are literally my spiritual, physical, mental and emotional alarm system for the house and my personal safety !!!

3 girls and 2 boys live here and if any strange, hurtful or ugly, mean, or mischievous energies pervade the neighborhood, they will warn me.

If it wasn't for the bodies of water I live around, and the kitty cats, I would not be able to function at all upon a planet with such multiplied mean and hateful energies !!

God knew this, that's why he put me here.

And 'Tom's Diner' by Suzanne Vega a cappella keeps bouncing in my head...

dat dat dat dut da dada..

Dear Burt,

What surprised me in your post #830760,you write:God knew this, that's why he put me here.

In Buddhism ,there is no God ,the creator. The Creator is the Mind.
This should be continued in the Buddhism section so as to not indispose other members.

In Pets and Spirituality it's ok to speak about God.

I never claimed to be Full Buddhist.

No Worries.
