If you compare articles about the Common Core Standards that quote statements by school superintendents, principals, etc. in different parts of the country, you'll get the impression that they are all talking from a prepared script.

They are.

Designed by corporate consultants and never field-tested, the CCSS are a great unknown. For that reason school administrators talk about them with borrowed words. They cannot yet know how the standards will affect their schools. Parents shouldn't settle for robot-speak from their local school officials.
