Greater Likelihood to Keep Exercising
Every little bit of exercise is important. All the bits add up to a lifetime of exercise, and you still reap the benefits of exercise. Of course, a little bit is not always enough. The recommended average of aerobic activity is 150 hrs. per week.
A 2011 survey found that "exercising outdoors is a reinforcing behavior." The study also found that outdoor exercisers "declared a greater intent to repeat the activity again--than gym-goers."
