We all want to look great and sometimes, even at the expense of our health. When I was younger, if I needed to lose a few pounds, I just stopped eating. I didnt think, or care, about the long term effects....I wanted a better body, NOW! As I have aged, this unwise practice has reeked havoc on my metabolism and it is very difficult to shed pounds. I am wondering what crazy things others have done to gain the perfect body????

I've done the same - not eaten to lose weight quickly. Luckily my metabolism hasn't - suffered so far! Probably the most crazy things I done for beauty is dye my hair myself. I've ended up with red, bright orange, green, blonde(ish) and jet black hair over the years.

Every time I had to buy another dye to counter the last one. The worst was the day before my wedding I dyed my hair and it was far to dark so I ended up in the hairdressers having the color stripped out before putting a softer color on. I also had to have quite a lot cut off as I damaged it so bad.

It all turned out in the end though its a wonder I have any hair left the way I've treated it - eek!

Thanks for sharing Tracy... Wow...the day before your wedding?? I would have been panicking!! I have such a love/hate relationship with hairdressers I vacillate between the pros and doing it myself. Sometimes I get lucky and then other times....not so much. :)
