It is impossible to appreciate and accept the sovereignty of God when a Christian believer is not in tune with God. Are you in tune with God? Find out in this article.

Great article, Preena.

I am happy to be "in tune" with God. At this time in my life I am rediscoving myself and my faith, and dealing with life challenges that sometimes get me down. But when things don't go the way I want them to, I am becoming more comfortable with telling myself that God is in control, and if it was meant to be it would happen.

Life events may not always go the way we'd like, but God makes sure we get what we need, even if it may not be what we think we want at the time. The important thing is to trust in Him.

Very true Debbie. One of the things about living every second believing that God is in control is to stop worrying. Whenever I get into the worry mode over anything be it small or big, I take a break and assess my faith. I know I put myself in charge and try to work a way out on my own. But then it is only when I fully let God take charge of the situation and stop agonizing do i really begin to believe that it is God who is in control!

Letting go of worry is one of my biggest challenges. But when I look back I realize that God has steered me down the path I am on. To worry only adds to my confusion, so it is better to just believe that He will keep me safe and provide what I need. Faith is tested during troubled times, but faith is what carries us through to brighter days ahead. Balance will always be restored, because God does want us to be at peace and to be our best selves.

It is so true that believing in God is different from being in tune with God.

Debbie, just after reading your post I happened to read this quote, "Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. It does not enable us to escape evil. It makes us unfit to face evil when it comes. It is the interest you pay on trouble before it comes. Corrie ten Boom"
I guess the only way we will learn to trust God is in the midst of those testing times when troubles make it impossible for us to see that God will make a way out. I understand your struggles and I go through them myself. But we can cheer up for He who called us is faithful to keep us from falling and present us faultless before the throne of Grace!!

True Lori. We need an active faith that demonstrates God in life. We can never do that when we are not in tune with Him.
