Two remarkable students at the Institute of Water and Environment in Burkina Faso have come up with a very simple invention that can potentially save millions of lives.

They have created Faso soap, which is a mosquito repellent. The secret ingredients, which include citronella and local herbs will be given to an NGO to distribute in some of the poorest communities to help combat malaria. In mostly sub-Saharan Africa there are over 300 million cases reported each year.

The entrepreneurs have won a prestigious award for their new product which they are proud of, but most importantly feel that something this simple can make the biggest difference. It won't take economic pressure or a change of culture to get the product out there, as everyone will use soap.

Two inspirational Africans ....making a difference and saving lives!
