Greetings Sweepstakers,

I love the folklore surrounding lucky charms and beliefs so I'm introducing an ongoing series on the topic for the Contests and Sweepstakes site. I know not all sweepstakers believe in luck, but some of you may have your lucky charm or ritual that you perform and might find the topic interesting. I'm planning on doing an article related to this about every 6-8 weeks.

Since Saint Patrick's Day is coming up I thought we'd take a look at the phrase Luck of the Irish and the superstitions behind the four-leaf clover in this week's article. In upcoming articles, we'll be looking at folklore from the US and around the world.

I've had people say that I'm so lucky each time i win a prize
And some time i do feel lucky
But then i come back to reality and know that i put an effort into winning
My sweeping is like a part time job with benefits
"Because i don't have a life", I faithfully enter sweeps daily 4 to 5 hours a day "EVERYDAY"
Determination plays a big roll in winning for me
Yes i do get frustrated when months go by and i don't win a single thing
But then there will be that day again when a package will show up at my door congratulating me with another winning
My 4 biggest wins were a $1,000 gift card, a laptop, an IPhone, and a microwave
Was it luck????
or determination????
Either way I love winning
What have you won over the years
And how much time do you spend sweeping
