For most museums, teens are not a significant demographic in our visitor numbers. Why is that?

Read this blog and come back to discuss what points this young makes that are valid, and where his opinion aren't as well thought out...

Kim, to attract children and keep their interest - hands on items and odd ball items need to be sprinkled in with the permanent collection.

When we had the historic courthouse as part of our museum tour, the kids loved it because they were able to sit in the judges seat and jury box and hold trial. It was memorable for them.

What do you think museums need to do specifically to engage teens? They are at an in between age where they aren't kids anymore, but they're not quite adults (even if they want to be treated like one!).
