Share with us what is your favorite exercise. Maybe it's a sport or game. How often do you do it? Where do you do it?
Why do you do it?

There, that ought to get you started. Let me hear from you!

I'll get us started. My favorite exercise isn't really exercise it is a mind-body experience. I love yoga! I also love my Miracle Balls. TJ

I like walking and I have not been good about continuing my walking program this winter. It was a beautiful day today and this afternoon I took a short walk.

At one time, I thought I would like to take ballet but the local dance school didn't offer beginning ballet for adults. I thought it might be a good stretching exercise.

I took a Zumba class once and I didn't like it at all.

I hear you. Zumba is tough, pretty hardcore. I like walking too. Especially when it is warm.

I took ballet once (as an adult). It was fun, but I am truly uncoordinated and kept falling over.

Thanks for posting.

Terri, the only thing I know about Pilates is that a ball is involved. Tell me more.

Hi Angie. Actually a ball is not involved in the basic 34 mat Pilates moves. The poses are floor poses and you need a mat.

There are variations of Pilates that are fun but not necessairly based on the Pilates principles. There are exercises such as:
"Pilats on the Ball"; "Yogalates"; weight training with Pilates" and more.

All of the principle poses are designed to strengthing the core giving you more stability, toning, and strength. Below are two articles I have written on Pilates. Maybe you will want to try a beginners Pilates class. Thanks for posting.
