Hi Everyone:

I used to live in Orlando, Florida for over 14 years and found it very hard, but interesting to move to the Alabama - now Georgia area. But I am adjusting and actually beginning to ENJOY the scenic location. Yes, got tired of seeing the SAME stuff each day, but was not into moving (lol). Now that I did, so GLAD I did...

Anyone else from Orlando out there?

Thanks,

I am from Lake Mary-a few mins. north of Orlando!

The only downside is that there are 2 seasons- summer and spring!

Hey, I love Lake Mary - when my now 24 year old only child was young, we would just jump in the car and ride out there. The sad part is that it is now so built up and gone are the days of being able to just sit and be quiet smile

The humidity is a trip and they tell me that here in Columbus, Georgia it is just as bad. Not looking forward to this at all as I am already suffering with hot flashes. May have to get on hormones smile Trying not to, but girl...

I'm in Sanford for a month and have enjoyed the historic downtown and Riverwalk, and also the various trails along hammock preserves in the area.

I've spent a lot of time on previous Orlando trips at Disney, and always enjoy that. There are actually a lot of things to do there that don't require money, if you are up to exploring the fascinating hotels, downtown disney, the boardwalk are and the safari zones at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Or hanging by the pool at the Wilderness Lodge. Anyway, a ton to do.

What is the new town of Celebration like? Anything to do there?

Universal Citywalk is also a fun free activity.

Not free, but I am curious: is the Harry Potter world worth a trip to see?
