I think it might be a harlequin romantic suspense but not sure the book starts with the heroine coming home a few days early. instead of going back to her parents house (police chief and the D.A.) she goes to the police station she used to work at before she left to go with her husband. She just wants to lick her wounds after her brutal divorce. AT the station she runs into her brother and his best friend (who may or may not be named Younger). She and the best friend end up being partners and they catch their murder case, the victim was a hooker. Killed with a scarf. Through the story, we learn the heroine is slightly psychic (knows things by touching them) and that the mastermind behind the murders goes by Mr. Big and is using a tall bald headed man to carry out the murders. Does any of that ring any bells?

Not for me, I'm afraid, but maybe for somebody else.
