Jilly,

I've been to CVS several times since this thread started (I am a regular customer there altho' I don't buy a lot there). My new MVP card was sent to us and it gives me some discount on my purchases. When I receive the EB coupons they are generally for stuff I do not use. I purchased a card the other day and the EB coupon I received was for three more cards and the coupon expires by the 9th. Rarely do I receive an EB to purchase anything of my choice.

I do purchase items when I know the price is deeply discounted.

I've been reading about this in the new this week. I'm not sure if you've checked it out before.

Angie, it takes a while to get a handle on getting extra bucks, but once you have them, you can spend them on anything you like.

Extra Bucks are different from the store coupons they print out or offer in the circulars. The extra bucks are just a form of paper money you use in their store.

I haven't gotten any of those. But I do not like to buy stuff I do not need or want just to get extra bucks. I save more by not buying.

Angie, surely among this list there are things you use:

Tooth supplies
qtips and cottonballs
baby stuff
saline for lenses
razors
shaving gel
hair items
vitamins
bandaids and first aid supplies
beauty aids
OTC cold medications
menstruation or menopause things
crackers, chips, juice, seltzer, soda, bagel bites, microwave popcorn and other
coffee, mayo, condiments
cereal
breakfast bars, protein bars
toilet paper
paper towels
tissue
dishsoap
laundry soap
pet supplies

I am confused when you say CVS only puts things on sale you do no use. Do you look closely at the circulars? Ignore the print out coupons. I rarely use those.

I bought All there - buy one get one free. That was a good deal.

I use one roll of papertowels during a one-two month time period - I use cloth for almost everything that most use paper for. I am green in that sense.

I don't have any pets.

Actually I don't use most of what you had listed. I am a careful shopper. I also shop at the Dollar Store and Big Lots intermittently.

Angie, that is so great you are a green, careful shopper! Do you have any careful shopping tips to share?

And yes, dollar stores are awesome!

huh. It seems to be an all-candy week at CVS with the Extra Bucks.

The candy holidays are like that (Valentines, Easter, Mothers Day, Xmas). I prefer it when real actual food is showcased.

You're right. Lots of candy today. That being said, I did purchase batteries. They had a buy one get one free and the price was ok for two packages.
