I loved the book, it was a real eye opener. I realized that just because someone looks rich, doesn't mean they are. And often it's the frugal person who is actually the rich person.

I haven't read it yet but it sounds like it would provide inspiration to continue some of my frugal habits and stop impulse buying.

Tina - Glad you enjoyed the book. It is one of my favorites. It made me feel better about my frugal ways.

Trish - Yes, I found it inspiring for frugality. It certainly gives a different perspective - that what you see people owning may not indicate their true net worth.

Good article, and let me agree that frugality is certainly an asset and not a limitation. We don't need as much as we think we do!

I've always loved this book.

Thanks, Jilly. I agree we don't need as much as we think we do. Or as much as advertisers are trying to convince us we need.

One benefit of frugality seems to be an appreciation for what we do have. And for what is truly important in our lives.

So we can be frugal, build a portfolio for the future and really enjoy what we do have.
