Chinese and Tibetan New Year (Losar) are coming up, and although they are not technically Buddhist holidays, they are celebrated as such in many Buddhist countries and communities around the world. Every year I offer up some of the predictions for the coming year based on the Chinese and Tibetan astrological system. This year is the Year of the Female Water Snake in those systems: 2013 - Year of the Female Water Snake

Lol, yes exactly. These kind of predictions are interesting, but don't really impact much how most of us live! And 'female' is really just the astrology system - it gives back and forth every year. It's more like 'yin' and 'yang'...
