We always ate rice at breakfast either with miso soup or in fried rice with the egg scrambled in the rice while cooking or by putting a fried egg on top.
Sad to say that I have diabetes and must stay away from white rice now. :((((((((

I always watch Martin Yan's Hidden China, a program that shows rural Chinese regions and the local culture and cuisine. In one area, rice noodles are eaten all day long, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I was drooling just watching that show! LOL!
