OMGoodness ... Angie what a lovely task lies ahead for you!
Some reminders will include:
+ Clean out your pots thoroughly; throw any-all soil away or into the garden, scrub out your containers with white vinegar water; (halfhalf is a good mix).
+ When you are ready to plant them up again, line the containers with black-white printed or plain newsprint.
+ The newspaper is biodegradable and keeps your plant roots protected for warmth in winter and 'coolth' in summer.
+ Doing this would also be a waterwise move.
What a great chance you have now to grow your favourites of course, but to try some new plants for fun and variety and all and all.
