Ah yes, Burt. That is happiness. Peace and freedom.

This morning as I opened the window, I breathed deeply the fresh air of freedom, and I thought to myself, "How blessed I am to be free!"

Thank you to all those who made this possible!

Today I am happy that the weather is changing. Flowers are starting to bloom and I am awaiting the new baby ducks on the lake to arrive.

What is "happy" in your day?

The more I recite positive affirmations to myself and believe in them, the better I feel. After years of difficulty I am pulling myself up and finding hope for my future. It is work, and I have to focus on some positives every day, but I am making progress. I try to be good to myself and go easy, but I will also force myself at times to get moving when I really need to get something done. You can't be too complacent.

I agree that reciting and reading positive affirmations does help pull oneself up to a place of strength, peace and health.
Reading books on this topic also gives one a totally different perspective of themselves, others and life. Your articles are a good example of this.

There is something beautiful in everyday. We all just have to find it....!!

I am growing more and more concerned abut my mental health and see a direct connection with how my brain processes and my physical health. I am at high risk for developing dementia or Alz due to unchecked diabetes.

My ability to communicate verbally is impaired. I mix up words, falter with rapid recall, etc. Some might say it is natural as we age, but I am only 52. I noticed that I repeat myself, too. Everyone has noticed.

What can I do to slow down the progression? HELP! This is very troubling!

Lori, This is the response I wrote to you on the other thread titled "medical or mental health issue?"

First, go to your doctor and get a full physical to be sure it isn't symptoms of something else.
Then add 2 to 4 tablespoons (slowly introduce) of virgin coconut oil to your daily diet. There is tons of research and testimonials that increasing this healthy fat helps reduce the symptoms you describe. Our brains are made of cholesterol and fat and we need to feed it properly.
I also recommend eliminating all grains. Diet is a powerful medicine and many people ignore it.
Also, add omega 3s....

Today...a positive quote!
"How do you say thank you for sunshine or health...for clear days or gentle rains...for happiness, joy or love?
You say it by sharing what you have. You say it by making the world a better place in which to live."
