We're all so amazed by castles, imagining the noble living within. But in reality, castles were cold, dank and dark!

Nobles were often under pressure by the hierarchy of government, too.

Sometimes, I think it might have been best to live the peaceful life of a peasant farmer or fisherman who could be left alone.
