What are you doing different on your taxes this year? How does it affect your home budget?

I do my own taxes most years. I have had a preparer do it once or twice when I was unsure of how to prepare new information. I know this year I will be waiting to complete my taxes since the fiscal cliff difficulties pushed back the IRS' ability to be ready earlier.
