I am considering getting a tattoo. Actually it has been buzzing in my mind for the past 10 years. It will be personal and have meaning for me. But I also realize that it will be permanent, you can´t just rub it away. It is there forever, also when I am 80+. And maybe it won´t be that "cool" or have much meaning to me by then. My question is if any of you have ever regretted getting a tattoo?

I've been a tattooed person for over twenty years now and have had no regrets. I just make sure that every tattoo I get is not only relevant to me in the moment but also connects to where I want to go or what I want to be in my future.

Yeah, I have had When something htat is far from me and I want to ease all the clues that related with the thing, tattoo might be among the related group, perhaps the thing is about some person or soothing heart-broken.

I started to get a tattoo years ago when I was a teenager. I am certainly glad I gave it a second thought and chickened out! I would give great thought to getting a tattoo. Many tattoo's that looked cool when young, cause embarrassment when you reach middle age.

I have many tattoos that I started getting at 18. Now that I'm 35 I still have no regrets. As a matter of fact I added to my collection on my 35th birthday. I think the experience is different for every person. I don't think anyone should get one if they aren't 100% certain that it's what they want.

People always say, well what about when you are 80? My response is always the same. If God sees fit that I live until I'm 80, I'll be extremely blessed. The last thing on my mind will be regretting my tattoos.

It is something personal matter. I may be regretted but you won't be or you may be but I may not. it is possible and personally I prefer for not getting it.

I want to have a tattoo. But I am afraid the pain.

If you are afraid of the pain, I recommend that you not get tattooed. Speaking as someone who has been getting tattoos for the past 25 years, there's really no way to avoid that part.

Pain is part of the process. That's like my brazilian and bikini wax clients asking how bad it will hurt or if there was a way to minimize the pain. Sorry, pain is part of the process... or else everyone would be getting them... tattoos and body waxing alike!
