Holiday safety tips - keep kids in mind for the holiday's

Decorating:
* Move the breakable ornaments toward the top
* If you have a natural tree water it daily
* Lights can get hot on a natural tree turn them off if not at home and water daily
* Dry trees can drop needles and they hurt, pick them up as they fall

Toys:
* Make sure you purchase age appropriate toys
* Keep a special eye out for the button batteries on some toys
* Don't forget the helmet for bikes or other riding toys

Kitchen:
* Use the back burners for cooking because small children love to reach for the handles on the pots
* Create a kid-free zone in the kitchen to prevent from spills or bumps
* During some cooking, teach children how to cook safely and with an adult

Plants:
* Some holiday plants may be poisonous like mistletoe berries and holly berries - keep our of reach
* In an poisonous emergency contact the National Poison Control Center at 1(800)222-1222

Enjoy your holiday safely!

Age appropriate toys are important - small parts can be swallowed.

A natural tree must be watered daily. The lights on the tree can dry it out along with the heat in the house, make sure you check the water level daily.

While cooking in the kitchen use extreme caution. Children love to grab things and a pot handle filled with something hot looks very inviting. Always practice safety first during the holiday's!

Use extreme caution while cooking - creating a kid-free zone will be perfect. Remember to always have fun and encourage safety first while teaching your daughter to cook.
