Your article provided superb advice and guidance for a college student living away from home who has ADD and is currently experiencing clinical depression.
Perhaps you have addressed this elsewhere, but what can parents proactively do education-wise, reinforcement-wise to assist their child (adult) when they are just about to leave the nest for the first time and go off to college in an attempt to prevent it entirely or limit the effects due to the onset of depression?
Thanks for the kind words, Les. I haven't written an article on preventing the circumstances that may lead to depression. However, there are several articles in my ADD College Life section that discuss making college life better for students with ADD.
