Zurich's renowned Baur Au Lac hotel is celebrating the holiday season with one of Switzerland's traditional staples - Gl�hwein. In the spirit of giving, the hotel is sharing its secret holiday recipe:


Ingredients:
6 1/3 cups red wine
2 cups water
1/2 of a lemon (sliced)
Pinch of cloves
Sugar to taste


Preparation:

Mix ingredients together in a large pot and stir over medium heat. Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes. Strain through a cheese cloth and serve in individual glasses, each garnished with a cinnamon stick.
