That is a great suggestion. Whether you use Charity Checks, make a donation on behalf of your children, or decide on an organization to give to as a family - the holiday season is a great time to engage in charitable giving.

If you do give gifts, you can still encourage giving - clean out your closets and your toy shelves to make room for your new things, buy a few extra cans at the grocery store and visit a food bank, visit a home for the elderly and brighten their days with cards, songs, and treats.
