Cleaning When You Are Leaving On Vacation

Great article, Tammy. I have always believed in cleaning up and leaving the home tidy before leaving for vacation. It is a comfort to come home from a tiring day traveling to arrive in a peaceful, harmonious place.

I clean up before leaving. The thought of burglars critiquing my housekeeping skills doesn't sit well with me. And it's nice to come back to a clean home.

Flylady suggests quickly changing your bed just before you leave, so when you arrive home tired from your vacation, you get in bed to fresh linens. I think that's a great idea!

Clean your house before leaving. This might seem like one of the last things you want to do when trying to get everything packed, cleaning up the main living areas, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom before you leave will make things easier when you get home.
