The potential for learning increases drastically when lessons are driven by purposeful objectives. The objective specifies the desired outcome of the lesson. An objective driven lesson moves the attainment of information to the use of information.

Thanks for this post. My 3-yr-old was just diagnosed last week with autism, so I need to make a few changes in my approaches to teaching him. I checked out the links on your Learning Disabilities site and found some good reading material there. Cheers!
