Is this Irish Moss? Or sedum? Or something else? I've pruned it to be a bonsai tree smile

Here's a photo of my larger plant in a more traditional shape.

It was labeled irish moss when I bought it, but I'm not sure that was right.

It's definitely not Irish moss. It may be a sedum or crassula. I'll do some research and try to find out more exactly, but it is a succulent, and will grow best in fast draining soil.

Hello there,

This looks like one of the many eschveria that you can get, but that you have pruned it to look like a bonsai tree then I doubt it. It's very pretty ... has it flowered yet Lisa?

Cheers

We've had this plant since 2010 at least, and it's never flowered. I didn't even know they could flower smile.

Here's a photo of the big one. The part not directly facing the window is looking a little anemic. Maybe I should rotate it every few days?

I now think it is probably Sedum album 'Athoum' and that the container had been mis-labeled at the garden center. I can't find any irish moss anywhere that looks like this.
