Royal or not it is hard to find marriages that successfully last 65 years these days, but Britain's Queen and her prince have managed it.

And they look as close and happy now as when in all began in 1947, unlike many European royal couples who have separate lives, spend as little time as possible together and look thoroughly miserable when they are.

The photos are just great. A historical document really, showing how fashions have changed in virtually everything, from styles of photography to the attitudes to and of royalty, as well of course "fashion fashion" and all that surrounds it.
