People learn at different rates. Children may require up to 15 or 20 repetitions of a concept before mastering it. They may receive only five or six repetitions in a regular classroom. The online Khan Academy provides short videos that can be played and replayed as many times as needed.

Have you made use of the resources at Khan Academy? If so, share your experience with us.

I absolutely love Khan Academy. I homeschool my four kids, and we use it just about every week. The math videos are invaluable for us. Thanks for making more people aware of the site!

Laura,
I can imagine what a help it is to homeschooling parents. Parents of public school students could make good use of it as well.

There are so many parents that are not able to tutor their middle school and high school students for their math. Seriously, how many adults really mastered dividing fractions or understand how to find an x-intercept in their childs algebra homework? Khan academy goes along ways to helping out with this.
As mobile and laptop devices become so common, children can learn to find the help they need at sites like Khanacademy.
There are also some good tutoring videos on teeachertube.

AKLisa,
Right. The help is out there. Even children in overcrowded or inadequately-staffed classrooms can master the content if their parents consistently monitor their work and supplement as needed.
