Maybe some of that Kvass would be better than Granpappy's XXX.

Hello!
Kvass probably would be safer than Grandpas old formula - but it probably couldn't be used as an alternate fuel for an engine like Granpappy's stuff.

Better google than wiki, Phyllis.........

Granpappy sure does have a liking for Jilly.....seems she is high up there on his list next to his favorite bottle.

Nawww ... no kvass for me. If I cannot have the XXX I will make a crawl to the pub for a pint.

Anyone up for a pub crawl with me?

Wiki-gal? Nope. I think Granpappy would say "Them thar's fightin' words." I do not like to be around when Granpappy gets his dander up. Unless Beetle is here. Beetle knows how to calm the old man down. smile

When Granpappy gets all fired up I get out of the way. He can get pretty ornery.

Sure, Phyllis. I'll head over to the pub with you. I could use a little liquid refreshment. Anyone else want to come along?

We have a lot of good pub crawlers 'roun these parts. Granpappy ain't into that -- he would rather sit in his shed or the cellar.

Hey all you wonderful folks -- thinking about you and all the fun we have around here and remembering some of my memories from days of youth, I wrote a short fiction story for ya all.

Summer Family Gathering

Hope you enjoy the read. smile

True Gal Living. I love that!

I'm gonna hunker down with granpappy a bit this afternoon, and work on my new batch of kvass. He's trying to make me up the alcohol content. It's a fun project; I like stuff like this. He figures if we freeze it a series of times and remove the ice parts, we get turn it into a sort of Jack Kvass.

hehe. The Old Coot can be fun sometimes.

Yup! Granpappy is not all bad and grumpy. Sometimes he is downright funny, and boy oh boy, he is the best storyteller around. He has the most contagious laugh of anyone.

I loved reading your short story, Phyllis. I felt like I was watching a good movie.
