No matter who wins the 2012 election two very different candidates are standing, and they have opposite visions of the USA government's proper role in American lives.
This is a "freedom" which most countries of the world still cannot offer their people, and in many there is no likelihood of it being able to take place any time soon.
So, whatever the end result, the fact that this is possible is already something of which the USA can be proud.
