I'm enjoying a very veggie salad with cheddar, olives, and rasp-walnut dressing while celebrating the end of the political ad deluge .

How about you guys? Is it nice to know we'll finally (hopefully) not have mailboxes stuffed with brochures and flyers about candidates? What are you eating to celebrate?

For those of you not in the US, count yourself lucky that you don't have to go through this inane deluge. They must spend *billions* of dollars on advertising here. Imagine if that money was spent on useful things!

I went out for eggplant parm, and the restaurant was deserted. We were literally the only people there. And when we left, they turned the lights off when we were in the parking lot. I think we were the only people not glued to our TV sets.

I was surprised at all of the activity on my sites today. I think that a lot of people just wanted life to be normal again! (Whatever normal is!)
