Susumu Ishikawa, a Japanese voice actor who provided the voice of Puss 'n Boots in the 1969 anime film of the same name, passed away on October 30, 2012 due to stomach cancer and emphysema. He was 79 years old at the time of his passing.
Ishikawa also performed the theme songs for Obake no Q-Taro, Puss 'n Boots, and Dokonjo Gaeru.
