I'll be there! Again!
I've "done" it six years now, and finished a couple times... still have yet to go back and rewrite, but it's a huge YAY when you realize that it can be done, and completing a manuscript isn't an absolutely insurmountable goal. The absolute hardest part of writing - for me, at least - has been making the time to sit down and just DO it. This makes me!
I know Nano has it's naysayers, but I think it's a wonderful thing. It gives you a goal, a time limit, and others that are trying to accomplish the same thing you are. Research and planning are all well and good, but I know if I told myself I'd start writing when I was done with all that, the first words would never get done! I just have to keep telling myself that nothing is chisled in stone, it can be revised, rewritten, edited... but you can only revise something that's already been written.
So here's to 30 days of literary (and sometimes not-so-literary) abandon!
My user name is Fenrir Catenatus if anyone would like to get in touch.
Good luck!
