Hello,

I am always interested in finding out what dreams mean and I have found a bit of info on pencils.

Apparently, seeing a pencil in a dream seems to be good luck but it will depend on exactly what is happening. Some sources have mentioned that seeing a pencil could spell the end of a relationship.

Sharpening a pencil - What I have read indicates that it doesn't matter who is sharpening the pencil, it means that you need to change how you think and be more flexible. Listen to the thoughts of those around you. The other possibility points towards closing a business deal.

There is not much else involving pencils in dreams but I hope this helps smile

Hi there and thank you for posting your dream. Can you provide any other details? What did the pencil look like? Was it a standard yellow #2 pencil? Of a different color? Wood and graphic pencil or a mechanical pencil? Was it a brand new pencil or used? How long or how short?

You mentioned that you were talking about the pencil. What were you saying about the pencil? Were you concerned that it wasn't writing well? What feelings did you experience about this? Happy to have the pencil? Angry that it wasn't sharp?

Not all pencils are the same, and those details can provide further clues to what your dream is trying to tell you.

Also, consider what a pencil is used for. To communicate. To make a point. How does a pencil differ from other writing instruments? Could you see what you were writing?

It's a tad too shallow an interpretation to say that the pencil dream simply means you need to be more flexible; that is very general. But since it feels right to you, "considering what's been going on lately with" you, then perhaps it is the right interpretation for you. smile

it was a regular no 2 yellow pencil. it was long. i cant remember what i said about it but i didnt feel any negativity to the pencil or the use of it. I was curious about something i was doing with it is all I can remember. but im not sure what. I did sharpen it at one point. I believe i was sitting at a desk as well. if i can think of anything else i'll post it. but it was a pretty short dream. thanks for replying

Well then. To me, it appears that in your waking life, you wish to communicate your thoughts and you are considering how to do so.

The sharpening of the pencil indicates that you are preparing to "make your point" in a rather "pointed" way. ouch!

It's all about you, the dreamer. Dreams come from your subconscious mind.

You are the source for all of this information. I only help translate. smile

I agree with Lori. It is all about dreamer. Dreamer is a source of information.
