According The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RLA), retail hiring for the holiday season begins mid-October for most retailers, with the heaviest hiring a month before Black Friday.

Remember to focus on your customer service and sales experience on your applications and resumes.

Keep in mind that most retail positions will require you to work the day after Thanksgiving.

I was in Macy's over the wknd & they had large signs posted everywhere inside -- "Seasonal Hiring & Training" :-)

Amazon & Wal-Mart are also hiring!
