I saw a show about making your own gyro meat and it was quite involved. Do you make your own gyro meat? Do you absolutely need a rotisserie to make it?

I also love spanikopita and baklava!

Hello Lori. Thanks for the warm welcome, I hope you are well. I love gyro meat; it has always been a favourite of mine. Not made my own yet, but it is something I plan to do in the very near future. Will let you know how that goes. Many prefer to use a rotisserie for gyro meat but I have come across alternative ways of cooking it, such as grilling or putting in the oven. Spanikopita and baklava are both great. I love stuffed vine leaves and swordfish - although very difficult to find in UK restaurants.
