I just posted a few fun to do cake recipe. Kids will enjoy eating these. I suggested pin the tale on the donkey as a game the little ones can play. There are other games that are quieter but, if you love to hear the laughter and giggles of children I think it may be near the top of the fun list. Pick up sticks is a good game for kids too. Any other ideas?

See article: Halloween Party Cakes & A Game

BTW, I used to play pick up sticks as an adult, a glass of wine or apple cider and pick up sticks equal big adult silly fun. lovers

Kids may not want to celebrate Halloween by listening to you read, but they will probably be excited to listen to an audio tape. Stop by your local library to see what they have in their lending library. Get several tapes so the children can choose what they want to hear when they get to your house. Let the kids dress up in their Halloween finest viking, serve hot dogs and a soft drink or dessert; and discuss the tape they have just heard. According to Scholastic.com there are "iteracy benefits of listening" to audio tapes.
