The Madagascar Hissing Cockroach is an excellent pet. Insect exotic pets are very popular. The giant hissing cockroach also known as hissers are great beginner insect pets because they are mild, don't bite and are easy to care for. They are very fascinating unlike common roaches. My first reaction was ick a roach but after reading the article they sound awesome and really interesting. How many different insects are pets?

LOL Calla, I had the same reaction - hate those things when I see them wherever I am living. Diana, another awesome article and posting title. You sure know how to get folks attention  I don't know if I want any "hissing" around me - I may forget and think it is a snake. Yikes!!!!

One of our biology teachers used to order hissing cockroaches every year. Invariably, some would escape. They'd scare the wits out of people who came upon them unexpectedly!

I can just imagine someone coming up to a huge cockroach that hisses. I think it would get my attention!
