Greetings! Thank you to all who replied by email regarding this article featured in my newsletter today! The theme of the article is historical trauma and in light of the political firestorm happening right now, the newsletter was a hot topic!

Important Note: There are two parts to the newsletter because I had to make a crucial clarification- please see both parts.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Gateway to Healing - An Introduction
Historical Trauma, ask your family, friends, or colleagues what this term means and I bet very few would be able to answer. Even as a highly educated Native American woman, I was unable to provide a definition for historical trauma until very recently!

That's so true, Phyllis. I'm a little weary of doing all this healing work on my own...I'm so ready to share my way on the path.

I feel a little lost and don't really know who I'm writing for. The ones I really wish to reach most likely do not have internet access.

Need a hand to grab...I get too close to the edge still!

Thank you for always being there to toss a rope!

Have a great week! Oh and your pot roast recipe was FANTASTIC! Made it yesterday for Sunday supper!

Oh! I am so happy to hear you made the pot roast and liked it, Jackie.

There are many hands here at BellaOnline to grab hold of when one is looking for support -- I am glad to be here for you. We help each other along the way.

Contacting tribal councils may be a good way to find out how to get in touch with some of your target audience. Also, libraries in the areas may be of help to you.

Blessings and have a wonderful week.

Great ideas! I contacted the Crow Tribal Council and the current Chairman for interviews. I am so excited.

I am also contacting some of the youth leadership. Also, the Puget Sound area where I live is rich in Native Culture as is nearby First Nations brothers and sisters.

So many ideas now for articles!

Have a great week too, Phyllis!
